About the Book
Beyond the Light of the Willow Tree
In the deepest dark, there is only light.
With each new generation, precious souls are called upon to serve a higher purpose. But each calling is forged in challenge and fear, and every journey hinges upon the choices made.
In present-day North Carolina, Gabriel is devoted to his wife, Jennifer, and their five rambunctious kids … until the day tragedy strikes the Connor household, setting in motion a chain of events that will transform humanity.
In ancient Rome, young Gabrielus leaves his humble village to become a protector of the emperor. He dreams of bringing glory and wealth to his family and returning a hero to his love, Jennamine. But the path ahead is steeped in grief and vengeance, and Gabrielus will be forced to make a choice that echoes through the ages.
One soul. Infinite journeys. A universe of possibilities.
In Beyond the Light of the Willow Tree, Daniel E. Chambrello crafts a guidebook for the human condition via a profound story of enduring love. Compelling perspectives of time, purpose, and mysticism reveal unique and life-changing truths for every reader.
About Daniel Chambrello
At the base of a mountain in Connecticut sits a peach orchard in a quiet neighborhood. Here, hawks soar high as coyotes slink among the trees, leaving trails of wisdom and mystery. In the early hours, the veil between worlds is as thin as the morning mist. This is where Daniel E. Chambrello sits and thinks.
As the youngest of five, Daniel is a born observer, preferring solitude as he questions everything from consciousness to Catholic doctrine. While journeying and experiencing love, heartbreak, and so much in between, Daniel’s knowing has expanded, and his questions have grown deeper. When a good friend handed him a book by a spiritual teacher, it was a life-defining moment, confirming all Daniel had known as truth and further kindling a story that he’d felt called to write since childhood.
In this ethos, Daniel’s first novel sprung forth—a spiritual guidebook weaving together love, adventure, and truths that are best felt rather than described.
More About Daniel
I have a successful corporate career. It’s been one of many great blessings in my life.
I belong to a beautiful congregational church that is over three hundred years old, and I am an active part of its amazing community—another great blessing.
I love pulling into my neighborhood. It’s surrounded by reservoirs and peach and apple orchards—another great blessing. I have three grown children, and they’re really good souls—my greatest blessing in this lifetime. My oldest son lives at home—yet another great blessing.
While sitting and thinking about and observing everything from consciousness to Catholic doctrine are all things I like and that bring me great joy, there are lots of other things I also like and enjoy…
Besides the standard love of family, hiking, the beach, yoga, sunsets, sunrises, etc., I also like and enjoy the color orange. And the color blue. And the color green. And the color black in certain contexts.
Shooting stars, full moons, new moons, and slivers of the moon. Hawks, foxes, coyotes, owls, and wild bunnies. And fireflies. And of course dolphins. And blessed butterflies.
Seagrass, sea glass, and driftwood.
Epic movies (e.g., The Last of the Mohicans and The Last Samurai).
Beautiful deep green lawns and old barns.
My beat-up and oh-so-comfortable old shirts, jeans, and cargo shorts—especially the ones that have holes in them, and the older, the better. They hold such great memories and energy.
Memories of the 1980s, including the lack of cell phones, the music (especially Def Leppard and Van Halen), cars (especially Buick Grand National GNXs, Toyota Supra Turbos, Pontiac Trans Am GTAs, Porsche 911 Carreras, and all Camaros), and Kawasaki Ninja motorcycles.
Sedona, Arizona, and Florida. Connecticut in the spring, summer, and fall.
Christmas trees.
Steve Martin movies.
The New York Yankees (lifelong fond memories that I cherish), the New York Giants, fantasy football with my kids and their friends. And golfing with my sons.
Willow trees, birch trees, and cherry trees.
Words and numbers have great meaning for me. Words have energy. Everything has energy. Nine is my favorite number. Seven is my life path number, and the number five will always have very special meaning for me. I’m an Aquarius.
I’m not “obsessed” with anything, and I don’t “binge” anything.
I do the best I can in all ways. It hasn’t always been great. Often though, it was. I strive each day to be great much more often than not great, and I continue getting better at this.
Beyond the Light of the Willow Tree is my debut novel. I am currently writing the story that came before Beyond the Light of the Willow Tree.

A Note From The Author
The law of divine order states that everything is always as it should be. This law is reflected in the natural balance of nature (though we’ve disrupted much of that balance so deeply).
This doesn’t mean that we are all living individually and collectively in harmony with the universe or consistent with our essence, or living up to our highest potential in the human condition. It just means there is nothing “wrong.” Things have been, are, and will be unfolding just as they should.
Individually and collectively, we can change our current conditions and bring ourselves into better alignment with our essence, and we can journey more closely toward the perfect balance of the natural world, and it’s simpler and easier than it seems. In other words: we can make things better.
We can start with very small and subtle actions. A smile at someone we normally would not have smiled at. Being present with someone when we’d normally be in a state of distraction or worry over things that may not even happen. Even modeling composure and calm, moving with mindful movements through the grocery store instead of rushing frantically and intensely. Or being generous with hugs—they are such a powerful tool that we each have an infinite number of. In other words, we contribute high-vibrational energy to the universe instead of low-vibrational energy whenever we can. There are so many little things we can do (and as the Dalai Lama states, each action ripples out and can have far-reaching effects), and they all make a much bigger difference than most of us realize—until we pause to really think about it. And then, before you know it, we’re creating much larger shifts with our thoughts, words, actions, and deeds.
The law of divine order goes on to say that when enough souls focus their energy on love and oneness, and live deliberately and more consistently with our essence, and in sync with the natural world, then this plane of time, space, and matter will shift into a state of peace and harmony, and this will ripple out magnificently through all of the planes of existence.
The law doesn’t state that everyone has to make this shift. It doesn’t even state that the majority must make this shift. It happens when enough souls make the shift. This is because love is so much more powerful than any other energy in the universe.
How things unfold individually and collectively going forward is very much something we have control over. And the law of divine order states clearly that it will be just as it should be.
Through an interconnected ecosystem of inspirational spiritual content spanning books, blogs, and multimedia platforms—content that illuminates universal truths—I seek to help empower individuals to recognize their infinite potential. And this will change the world—even if just a bit. But every bit matters.
Along the Journey
The Law of Divine Oneness

I Was Not Born in Sin
So I wasn’t born in sin? The band The Lumineers tell us to “forget what Father Brennan said.” I agree: we were not born in sin. There are a handful of both secular and non-secular things for which I just can’t see the perspective—the doctrine of original sin is one of...
The Law of Divine Order as a Foundational Shift out of Fear
In our first blog post we talked about love and fear as the two base emotions in the human condition. We discussed how the foundational laws of the universe can help us stop operating from a state of fear and shift towards operating from a state of love. In that post,...
